Sardegna = Sardinia = Sardinië & armspieren

Post by Geo Bhiker »

http://www.peteranne.it/wp/?s=rally .

Hi I am this guy Peter. The video of the Rally gives you a good idea of what riding is like here, though this is a 6-day enduro event and maybe people prefer to do more "exploring" with more off-road riding and less racing and transfers on asphalted roads. We have asked the Rally's organisers if next year they will have one day of the Race where people not doing the whole 6 days can ride, let's see what they say, so that people can sample this side of MTB racing here. There are also the local races in October and November, these are very friendly and they make people very welcome.

On our website http://www.peteranne.it you can find descriptions of mountain biking here, photos and route information.

we were in Sardinia & had 3 days to spend on the eastcoast, and via this posting we booked
at Peter & Anne's Lemon House, where we had a big spacious room + very nice large breakfast.
but the best part is Peter & Anne have all the info for :
MTB, roadbike, climbing, hiking, seakayak, horse riding, nice beaches, food, ...
they organise whatever you want and are active themselves in especially climbing & biking

Peter has prepared some nice MTB-rides, he joined/guided us on the first day,
he showed us also a very rocky real downhill trail, a bit to heavy for us & the bikes.

the 2nd day he gave us another longer trail via GPS (not to do without guide or GPS!) and because
the regular bus didn't drive, Anne brought us all the way to the start of the trail!

last day we did the rocky hike to the spectacular beach 'Cala Goloritzè' and a splendid seakayak-trip

Lemon House = perfect basecamp for a combined sports holiday!

thnx for a great stay, Peter & Anne! We hope to come back for a longer stay! and the cake was jummy :-D

Sardegna = Sardinia = Sardinië - new guide

Post by Peter Herold »

Sorry to write in English :(
We are writing a mountainbike guide to Sardinia. People coming in the first 6 months of 2010 can test route descriptions and get their photos in the guide. Here I am documenting an easy ride which goes along the beach 1 km from The Lemon House
Image
and this is a great video of an All Mountain ride we did mid-January. Peter
