LCMT 2005 van 5 tot en met 8 mei 2005
Ik heb op de TT in Overijse (ergens in oktober) een eindje samen gefietst met een van de pechvogels waarvan ze met zijn nieuwe C'dale F2000SL zijn gaan lopen. Hij zei me dat de zaak nog steeds lopende was.
Maar als het zolang aansleept, zal het waarschijnlijk noppes worden voor de gedupeerden.
Dat is een van de redenen die me tegen houdt om een derde keer deel te nemen aan de LCMT

That *is* terrible, not getting compensated for the loss of your bike! 
But hey, I found out that there are actual travelling insurances you can sign up for *per day*, that covers also theft from hotel room etc. I only checked this briefly so far as I am looking to do the Roc d'Azur ...

Good luck with LCMT next year! I was there in 2002, and *not* fit! The organizers, no matter how friendly, did not inform me how hard core it was, and I came there used to biking only one flat 50k ride a *week* ... I did the all those k's (except for 70k the third day, when the guy I rode with had an accident). It was slow and painful, and people had to wait for me the last day before going back to Zonhoven. I met wild boar all by myself in the forest, I got lost (signs in the ground were not the best after x number of bikers had gone all over them), I cried at the end and I could not walk properly for weeks afterwards. But I did it. *grimace*
I've always meant to go back, and see how I'd do today, but since it is a long weekend AND my birthday during those days I tend to try other stuff as well. LCMT was my birthday present in 2002, in 2005 it's time for some dry, dusty singletrack in Spain! :)
And then maybe I'll see you for the Ardennes Trophy ... I'll be the slow gal at the back!

Sorry maar dit klopt niet. De dolomoti is "verstandig" 5€ verduurd.
De inschrijvingsprijs voor de dolomoti is dezelfde gebleven als in 2003. Maar de chipprijs(dus de waarborg voor chip) is 10€ ipv 15€ geworden, waardoor de bikers zonder dat ze het weten 5€ meer betalen voor hun marathon.

met 10 bikers afspreken om kabel door alle frames & wielen te steken + ferm hangslot. 10 fietsen die aan elkaar hangen stelen doe je niet onopgemerkt...
sowieso, ik verwacht wel dat de organisatie "al" het nodige zal doen om zo iets te vermijden dit jaar... anders riskeren ze volgend jaar zelf mee te moeten doen om nog een respektabel deelnemersaantal te halen
